Sigrid, I have read the Twilight twice! I just loved it. I was expecting it to be depressing, but you kept a ray of hope throughout. Of course, hundreds of thousands of women in parts of Africa and the Middle East never do escape the male tyranny into which they are born. They live under repression or die painful deaths. I am so glad that you made their case understandable.

"Escaping The Twilight" is the most compelling new bookI have read in a very long time. Although it is a work of fiction, author Sigrid Weidenweber's command of character and place-a young woman growing up in the Sudan-is so complete that it's difficult to keep in mind that this is not actual autobiography. Such craft by an author whose first language is not even English is a humbling experience for anyone claiming acquaintance with a keyboard.

I am enjoying your book very much-it is well written and just fascinating! Best wishes with it!

Sigrid, I haven't had a chance to tell you how much I enjoyed your book. I finally got a chance to read it, and have to say that I was so impressed with the quality of the writing and how compelling the story is. It's a wonderful book that women everywhere should read. Are you writing another?

I have just finished your book, and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you so much for providing me a copy.I was extremely moved by what I read, and had no idea this tradition existed. It was indeed an eyeopener, and I amthankful that you are passing along this knowledge, perhaps with the hopes that of spreading the word so that this terrible tradition is stopped. I am passing along my thoights to my women friends.
A big insight into the (once)unknown.
